How the exam tests this
There is no official multiple-choice Yachtmaster paper. The Offshore exam is practical, and the examiner asks theory questions throughout it: at the chart table, on deck and often in the evening with cards of lights and shapes. You're expected to answer instantly and explain your reasoning. Questions like these are useful because they show you what you can't yet recall, which is what to revise next. See the oral exam questions guide for the kind of thing examiners ask, and check you meet the Yachtmaster Offshore requirements.

Questions
Are these official RYA Yachtmaster exam questions?
No. They are independent revision questions, not official RYA papers, past papers or answer keys. DeckPrep isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the RYA.
Is the Yachtmaster Offshore exam multiple choice?
No. The exam is a practical assessment aboard a yacht, and the examiner questions you on theory throughout it. Practice questions are a quick way to find and fix the gaps before then.
Is there a Yachtmaster mock exam?
Paid plans include timed mock exams of 20, 40 or 60 questions, at a minute a question, drawn from DeckPrep's 364-question bank. You can mix every topic, pick one module, or start with your weakest topics.
